Our story

About Claudia

Claudia Méndez is a yoga teacher and body therapist in Bogotá, with over ten years of experience supporting wellness processes from a holistic perspective of the body and consciousness. Her work focuses on teaching Vinyasa Krama, therapeutic yoga, and working with muscle chains, integrating conscious movement, breathwork, and deep listening.

She lives with a diagnosis of rheumatoid arthritis, an experience that transformed her way of inhabiting her body and teaching. From there, she developed an approach that prioritizes adapting practice, caring for the musculoskeletal system, and regulating the nervous system, especially in people with chronic pain, injuries, or sensitive conditions.

In her classes and coaching sessions, she incorporates pranayama, the use of mantra, and meditation as tools for cultivating a more attentive, stable, and clear mind. Her teaching is based on classical yoga texts and the Vedanta tradition, understood as paths to self-knowledge and profound self-understanding.

As part of her holistic approach, Claudia integrates traditional Thai massage as a means of liberation and bodily restoration, and astrology as a symbolic tool that accompanies life processes and personal cycles from a conscious perspective.

Through Reconec-arte, Claudia accompanies individual and group processes where the body, breath and knowledge become a space of reconnection, care and inner transformation.

History of Reconect-arte

Reconec-arte is a conscious yoga and body awareness space in Bogotá, created for those who wish to inhabit their bodies with greater presence, care, and deep understanding. Here, yoga is understood as a holistic practice that unites body, breath, mind, and consciousness.

At Reconec-arte, we offer Vinyasa Krama classes, therapeutic yoga, muscle chain work, pranayama, mantra, and meditation, tailored to individual needs and processes. Our approach prioritizes conscious sequencing, body awareness, and nervous system regulation, making it especially beneficial for people with chronic pain, injuries, stress, or undergoing personal transformation.

As complementary practices, Reconec-arte integrates traditional Thai massage, as a profound path to bodily release and restoration of energy flow, and astrology, understood as a tool for self-knowledge that accompanies life processes and personal cycles from a symbolic and conscious perspective.

The teaching is inspired by classical yoga texts and the Vedanta tradition, understood as paths to self-knowledge. Through sustained practice, conscious breathing, and reflection, Reconec-arte guides processes that go beyond physical exercise, fostering a kinder and clearer relationship with oneself.

Reconec-arte is a space to pause, reconnect and cultivate a more conscious presence in everyday life.
